Abstract

The lack of knowledge about sexuality and sexually transmitted diseases showed us that it was necessary to apply an educative intervention for the 1rst year -nursery students in order to increase their competence towards a responsible sexuality. It was designed a competence program on STD/HIV/AIDS and sexuality for 204 students who were chosen at random. These students were selected to perform two treatments: intervention and control. A survey about  the themes that were dealt on the intervention was applied to them in order to evaluate their knowlegde before and after the first treatment. As summary measure the percentage and proportion difference hypothesis test were used for statistiscs validation of the results. After the intervention the students knowledge about the treated themes was highly significative between the intervention and control group, which is the reason why the program was valued as an efficient one.
