Endoscopic diagnosis in patients with dispeptic disorders at Ernesto Guevara CIHA. Miranda Falcón. Venezuela.

A retrospective descriptive transversal study was performed in order to characterize the patients diagnosed with dyspeptic disorders through endoscopial studies at ´´Ernesto Che Guevara Communitarian Integral Health Area in Miranda municipality, Falcon State, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, from January to July, 2007. The universe and the sample were made by all the patients that were 16 years or older, of both sexs, with symptoms and signals of a digestive disease, who were sent to the endoscopy service of the Communitarian Integral Health Area (CIHA) where an endoscopial research was performed to the patients, with previous consent. To develop this research, endoscopical reports of the patients and charge sheets were performed where it was saved the necessary data for the research and the obtained results, represented in numbers and percentages through tables. To conclude it was stated that the etarian group of people who were among the ages of 46 and 55 years old prevailed and the main consult reasons were: the epigastralgia and toxic habits, where coffee and alcohol prevailed. Besides, osseous diseases and arterial hypertension reached high figures in the antecedents and injures that were diagnosed by the endoscopy with a bigger frequency were: gastritis, duodenitis and hiatus hernia.
