Abstract

It was performed a descriptive-retrospective study about The seasonal behaviours and geographic distribution of culicidae in Granma, during the Period 2006-2007;  it was used the information existing in the Medical Entomology Laboratories, of the 13 Municipalities of the Province. There were diagnosed 24 mosquito species belongings to 9 kinds of them during that period. From The total of the species, 7 occupied the 97.6%, been diagnosed during the whole year and all over the municipalities. The municipalities that had the greater number of species were Bayamo, Yara and Bartolome Maso. The variety of the collected species was between 16 and 22, monthly, prevailing on April, June, October and November, while the greatest quantity of the collection was mode during the 2nd  half of the year.
