Abstract

It was performed an educative research with 32 elder persons who belonged to the elder houses in Manzanillo,through the application of surveys, there were evaluated some demographic variables and the level of knowledge regarding emergencies and disasters. The greatest part of the universe did not know about the information related to the topic with that purpose there was applied an intervention program that increase the level of knowledge to face emergencies and disasters. This method is of paramount importance to prevent disasters favouring the families preparedness to face the challenge of life nowadays.
