Abstract

The success of prosthesic rehabilitation with implants depends on a series of factors that work upon a strict planning, a careful surgery and an adequate prosthetic apparatus. The surgical stent constitutes a main guide for surgery and for prosthesis confection. The main advantages mean a better planned, minimally invasive and shorter surgery. Since the prosthesic point of view it permits the performance of a previous test at the time of placing the implants and in the same way it facilitates the placing and adaptation of prosthesis, and also diminish the working period of time, mainly in the cases of immediate charge. It is then presented a case of prosthesic rehabilitation supported by implants with immediate charge through the use of surgical stent.
