To guarantee this principle, care must be taken to ensure compliance with the corporate purpose and use institutional spaces to evaluate and authorize publication (responsibility of Scientific Councils). The existence of increasingly flexible tools and guidelines to facilitate the publication process, is not covered by the institutional responsibility for what is published, in accordance with the existing regulations in this area. Every document must explicitly state its origin, authorship and closing of production.

Peer Review Process

Peer review process

The impartial, independent and critical evaluation is an intrinsic part of the scientific process and, therefore, must form part of all academic work. The peer review consists of the critical assessment of the manuscripts by experts with similar knowledge that are not part of the Editorial Committee of the Revista Multimed. Peer review helps publishers decide which articles to publish as they assist authors, reviewers and editors to raise the quality of the contributions they publish.

This magazine conveniently uses practices of
Open peer review (OPR) as a mechanism to promote transparency in the editorial process and scientific communication.

This will enable the articles that are submitted to a peer-review process to open, the reviewers and authors to identify their identities, and to be able to perfect the manuscript at the same time.

According to the FOSTER Portal, this model of arbitration will allow greater transparency, speed, reliability, consistency, context and motivation.

Multimed suggested to lectors, authors and reviewers to consult the course of Evaluation by Open Peers, which is located in the FOSTER Portal, in this way we can expand the knowledge about this model of review.

The author is informed of the decision of the Editorial Committee once the evaluation period has ended.

The Editorial Committee corresponds to the final decision on the publication of the manuscript, regardless of the decision of the arbitrators, which is unappealable.

Once the manuscript has been registered, the referral process goes through the review, in which it is held that:

The Review Arbitration Group will be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee.

The arbitrators will adjust to the rules of arbitration adopted by the magazine, from the guide of arbitration.

Specialized arbitrators will be appointed according to the topic that the manuscript deals with.

Open peer review will be carried out.

If the referees do not match their criteria, a third party will be appointed.

A form will be used to define the criteria and arguments of the arbitration. This constitutes the arbitration guide.

The work must be evaluated and the results recorded in the space assigned to this effect in a 60-day period.

Once the result is received, the suggestions of the referees will be reconciled. The Editorial Committee will make the decision to accept the shipment without restrictions, communicate the observations and suggestions made.

The main author will communicate the results of the review, which may be:

Acceptance of the manuscript. In this case, the process of editing and publication will take place.

Return to smaller sets. The authors will have 15 days to proceed with the elaboration of a new version, following the recommendations of the review process and recording it in the space that was found earlier. Once registered, the review process will again take place. If 30 days have not been received, the Editorial Committee can make the decision to extend the closing period for 30 more days, the archiver communicating it to the first author by email. If they are filed and the authors maintain their desire to publish in the magazine deberán register it as a new manuscript, making the comment to the editor in the corresponding space of the first registration step, explaining that it obeys a second version of the work as its title is consignment.

Rejected to larger arrests. The principal author is notified by email of the review considerations and that the work will be archived. It will be made clear that in order to maintain the intention to publish it in the magazine, it must be registered as a new submission, subject to a comment by the editor in the first place corresponding to the registration, explaining that it obeys a new version of the work with its title.

Unconditional rejection. Regarding articles that have been declared as plagiarism or ethical violations.
